Indications

- Anterior and posterior restorations of Classes I-V
- Inlays, onlays, and veneers
- Extended fissure sealing on molars and premolars
- Core build-ups
- Splinting of loosened teeth
- Shape and shade corrections for improved aesthetics

Step by Step
Preparation
- Clean the tooth with fluoride-free polishing paste. Select the shade while wet using the Vita® shade guide.
Cavity preparation
- Preparation that is gentle on the tooth structure using the adhesive technique. Anterior tooth: chamfer enamel margins; posterior tooth: no chamfering. Clean cavity with water spray and dry. Drying, ideally with rubber dam.
Pulp protection/underfilling
- Use calcium hydroxide preparation for deep cavities. Underfilling is not necessary with enamel-dentin adhesive.
Kompositapplikation
- Apply composite in layers of max. 2 mm. Apply slow, even pressure (for compules). Observe hygiene: Use compules only once.
Curing
- Exposure time: 20 seconds (shades A1-A3.5) or 40 seconds (shades A4, OA2, OA3). Hold the polymerization lamp as close as possible to the surface. Do not touch or contaminate the inhibition layer.
Elaboration
- After curing, finish with finishing diamonds, flexible discs or polishing brushes. Check occlusion and articulation and grind in.
Additional notes
- Use a light polymerization device with an emission spectrum of 350-500 nm. Maximum layer thickness: 2 mm.
